University of San Francisco Deploys SnapLogic Elastic Integration Platform as Backbone for Move to Cloud Computing and Big Data

iPaaS solution provides real-time data connectivity as university modernizes IT infrastructure

SAN MATEO, Calif. — December 11, 2014 — SnapLogic, the Elastic Integration company, today announced that University of San Francisco (USF) has chosen SnapLogic as their IT organization’s enterprise integration platform as a service (iPaaS). USF is using the SnapLogic Elastic Integration Platform to integrate existing applications and serve as the backbone for real-time data connectivity as the university adds new cloud applications and big data processing to its IT infrastructure.

“We were looking for a modern iPaaS that would support our legacy applications and also provide fast and easy onboarding of new cloud applications. Real-time data connectivity was a critical criterion,” said Michael Ong, systems architect at University of San Francisco. “SnapLogic stood out from its competitors for its next-generation end-user interface, modern architecture and flexible connectivity options, and it is proving to be easy to use while standing up to our increasing demands.”

USF is using SnapLogic to connect data with its existing on-premise and cloud applications (e.g. Ellucian Banner, Instructure Canvas and ServiceNow) so students, faculty and staff have greater visibility and a unified view of their accounts, registration, course selection and more. Looking ahead, USF plans to add relationship management and numerous other cloud-based solutions and is exploring big data technologies like Hadoop to enhance its IT operations. USF also plans to use SnapLogic to move away from hand-coded batch job scripts to reduce on-going maintenance costs and improve overall efficiency.

USF recognizes the value of cloud applications and the critical need for seamless data connectivity in real time,” said Gaurav Dhillon, co-founder and CEO of SnapLogic. “The SnapLogic Elastic Integration Platform was designed exactly for this purpose and will support both the operational and analytical integration requirements demanded by today’s IT organizations. We look forward to ongoing collaboration with USF as they execute on their IT modernization strategy.”
