The SnapLogic December release enables greater efficiency, flexibility, and value for our users. In this blog, I cover key updates, including enhancements to SnapLogic AgentCreator, Monitor and Asset Catalog, and a brand-new Snap Trial feature. Let’s dive into the details.

SnapLogic AgentCreator enhancements

We have added new capabilities in the SnapLogic AgentCreator, specifically in the OpenAI Snap Pack. These features enhance how users interact with and process data in workflows involving OpenAI tools.

The new OpenAI Assistants Submit Tool Outputs Snap enables users to submit a list of tool outputs back into the model as input for further processing. By leveraging the “Submit tool outputs to run” API, users can iteratively refine model outputs and facilitate dynamic decision-making processes. The OpenAI Assistants Tool Call Router Snap efficiently routes input run objects into two distinct output views.

These features allow users to streamline complex workflows and improve integration between OpenAI models and SnapLogic’s data pipeline ecosystem, driving more precise and efficient outcomes.

Monitor and Asset Catalog enhancements

This release introduces a powerful new feature in the Asset Catalog that infers source and destination endpoints for pipelines utilizing generic HTTP and REST Snaps. This capability unlocks a variety of use cases, including:

  • Pipeline documentation: Automatically capture endpoint details for improved documentation and audit trails
  • Lineage tracking and impact analysis for custom apps: Track data lineage and identify dependency and impact when source, schema, or business logic changes even for custom apps or apps for whom SnapLogic does not have a pre-built connector

By automating endpoint inference, we’re empowering users to maintain cleaner, more reliable pipelines while reducing manual overhead.

Additionally, we now provide aggregate metrics so that you can identify anomalies in the runtime profile of integrations. This will help you discover integrations that have not run or have a high error rate. With this release, we also provide an efficient way for you to manage custom metadata via UI or SnapLogic public APIs so that you can organize and provide additional context to those integrations.

New Snap Trial feature

We’re thrilled to introduce the Snap Trial feature, designed to make it easier than ever to explore the SnapLogic Snaps Catalog and evaluate add-on Snap Packs. Here’s how it works:

  • View the latest add-on Snap Packs in the Snap Catalog
  • Use the “Request Trial” link to start exploring Snap Packs that require a subscription
  • Once you click the link, an email is sent to your org admin and the customer success manager who can then enable access to the requested Snap Pack

This feature greatly improves the discoverability of new SnapLogic Snap Packs and helps your team or teams in other business units to see how Snap Packs align with their requirements before committing to a subscription.

Stay tuned for more updates in the months ahead, and as always, we look forward to seeing how you leverage these new capabilities to achieve your goals. For more details, check out our full release notes or contact your SnapLogic CSM.
