The January 2024 release of the SnapLogic platform is here! This release introduces platform updates with SnapGPT improvements such as the ability to improve pipelines; improved connectivity to MS Dynamics 365 Finance & SCM, NetSuite REST, and Workday; and enhancements to the API Management and AutoSync offering.

Let’s look closely at the January release highlights.

Better transformations and more efficient pipelines through SnapGPT Updates

The January release of SnapGPT, SnapLogic’s GenAI-based assistant, brings updates that improve the quality of data transformations and provide suggestions for improved pipelines.

SnapGPT is now able to generate multiple expressions instead of just one. It now also supports pipeline parameters such as user name, query string, etc., when mapping data or generating expressions.

SnapGPT helps you analyze your existing pipelines and make them more efficient. It can suggest issues with your pipeline or provide best practices to help you improve it.

Additionally, the updates provide a more customized response for SnapLogic expressions, without sending any customer pipeline data to third-party LLM services. It also remembers your previous conversations with SnapGPT, to provide a better response to your SnapLogic-related questions.

New Snaps for MS Dynamics 365 Finance and NetSuite REST

January release introduces two new Snaps that make it easy to import data in bulk into Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and SCM applications. These Snaps are useful when you are onboarding a whole bunch of new vendors or registering new customers that your organization might have acquired. The Snap Pack now also provides a Bulk Export Snap to export financial ledger, accounts, or any other data to financial planning solutions or other systems of record.

NetSuite REST Snap Pack now provides full CRUD functionality with the addition of Create, Update and Delete Snaps. This update allows you to keep your NetSuite data in Sync such as creating customer records when a new customer is acquired or updating that record when the master data in the CRM system changes. And when a customer churns, you can also easily delete the record through the internal ID.

Support for Workday Query Language

With the new WorkdayQL Snap, you can connect with Workday Query Language (WQL) endpoints. WQL provides high-performance data retrieval capabilities from specific Workday API endpoints with a familiar SQL-like syntax.

Other Platform Updates

  • SnapLogic Groundplexes can now run on Windows Server 2022
  • The Git menu in the SnapLogic UI now allows you to untrack a project so that you can keep your Git repository streamlined

New use cases and endpoints in AutoSync

There have been a few enhancements to the AutoSync product.

The team has added a few improved screens so that you can easily handle naming conflicts between the source and the target systems.

The transformation screen preview now shows the schema for empty tables so that you can be select the right columns and only move the data you need into the target data store.

APIM enhancements

API management updates from the January release provide more customization and better insights.

You can now rename or edit an unpublished API, API Version, Proxy, and Proxy Endpoint so that you can align the names with your company standards and best practices. This improves discoverability and also ensures a more efficient operation.

The API Dashboard is enhanced to display the Remote Address field in the API request details table to showcase the client IP of the API invoker. This features helps in easy debugging and improved visibility into the API operations.
