Challenges of disparate data sources

Spirent, a global provider of automated test and assurance solutions for networks, cybersecurity, and positioning, was consistently challenged by the complexity of its integration systems. They had previously leveraged two separate platforms — one for data integration and one for application integration. This complicated stack meant higher costs, more resources, and issues with scalability. They also had operational challenges within their business intelligence processes that were manual and time-consuming and could benefit from automation. 

Additionally, Spirent’s legacy ERP system requires constant support, which was a huge hindrance initially when they looked to incorporate more effective API-based AI solutions into their infrastructure.

With a GenAI-ready integration strategy in place, Spirent was poised to actively start using large language models (LLMs) to elevate internal processes. With SnapLogic acting as its critical “orchestration” layer for leveraging LLM APIs, Spirent built and deployed a seamless, internal sales intelligence tool in a matter of weeks. 

This tool is leveraged to deliver pre-synthesized, summarized customer and competitive information for the competitive intelligence and sales teams, enabling lightning-fast access to critical insights directly added to the workflows of over 200 sales reps.

After just 90 days in production, Spirent:

  • Saw a 25% increase in business intelligence worker productivity 
  • Is now forecasting a 5% increase in sales productivity
  • Expects to save $144,000 annually by consolidating AI user subscription fees

Now that their first GenAI application has been successfully deployed, the Spirent team is already exploring new use cases to streamline internal processes and optimize the customer experience.
