SnapLogic Appoints Clark Newby as Senior Vice President of Marketing
Technology Marketing Veteran Clark Newby Joins the SnapLogic Team to Lead Worldwide Marketing, Strategic Alliances and SnapStore App Store for Integration
San Mateo, California – Dec 16, 2010 – SnapLogic, the cloud integration company, today announced that Clark Newby has joined the company as senior vice president of marketing. Newby brings two decades of enterprise software marketing experience to SnapLogic and is responsible for marketing strategy, branding and communications, demand generation, and strategic alliances.
With a recent round of additional funding, the company continues to strengthen its management team in preparation for rapid growth in 2011 and beyond. Newby will lead SnapLogic’s marketing organization and drive adoption of its enterprise integration solutions, which bring together on-premise and cloud-based data to provide dramatic reductions in cost and implementation time. His responsibilities will include the world’s first online integration store, SnapStore, which provides more than 60 certified Snaps– connectors to tie together different data sources and applications.
Newby brings deep knowledge of the enterprise Software as a Service market. He joins SnapLogic from Workday, where he was vice president of marketing and led marketing strategy, branding, demand generation, corporate communications, product marketing and customer community efforts worldwide for its SaaS-based enterprise solutions. In addition to Workday, Newby has held executive and marketing positions at technology innovators and industry leaders that include Fortify Software, PolyServe, Mercury Interactive, and Silicon Graphics Incorporated. He holds an MBA from Walter A. Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University.
