SnapLogic Integrates with the Okta Application Network to Boost Cloud Security
SnapLogic Elastic Integration Platform now available via Okta’s cloud-based identity and mobility management service
SAN MATEO, Calif. — January 13, 2015 — SnapLogic, the Elastic Integration company, today announced it has integrated with Okta, the leader in cloud-based identity and mobility management, to enable seamless, secure access to the SnapLogic platform and a single point of control for user authentication and authorization through the Okta Application Networks.
Through its Okta Application Network (OAN), Okta makes it easy for users to access more than 4,000 pre-integrated applications via a single, secure dashboard. By integrating into the OAN, the millions of users who already benefit from Okta’s service can now more easily access the SnapLogic Elastic Integration Platform via their Okta dashboard. The single sign-on integration also ensures SnapLogic customers are able to benefit from Okta’s comprehensive integration into other identity stores, including Active Directory, LDAP Directories and any SAML-based stores. This enables customers to have the control necessary to ensure comprehensive user authentication, password authorization and governance.
“Data security is paramount to any organization and is particularly relevant to modern organizations adopting a cloud-first enterprise computing strategy,” said Gaurav Dhillon, co-founder and CEO of SnapLogic. “Our integration with Okta ensures that SnapLogic customers have trusted access to modern, cloud-based security solutions.”
Building on the single sign-on capabilities introduced in the Fall 2014 release, SnapLogic customers are now able to easily access Microsoft Active Directory and other corporate LDAP directories without the need to modify or open up the corporate firewall. This enables customers to centrally manage end-user identities for SnapLogic, and gives people seamless and secure access to any number of business applications that are being connected by the SnapLogic Elastic Integration Platform as a service (iPaaS). IT departments also benefit from Okta’s centralized user management capabilities to easily provision and de-provision SnapLogic to end-users.
“We’re focused on enabling our millions of users to easily and securely access the applications they need to get work done from anywhere, at any time and on any device,” said Chuck Fontana, head of technology alliances at Okta. “In today’s increasingly interconnected and mobile world, the ability to connect applications, APIs and disparate data is key – and our integration with SnapLogic will enable both of us to provide businesses with an integrated solution that offers secure control of business data for IT ad simple, unified access to the SnapLogic platform for users.”
