SnapLogic Appoints Industry Veteran Vaikom Krishnan to Vice President of Engineering
Cloud and data integration product leader to drive platform innovation and continued market momentum
SAN MATEO, Calif. — May 14, 2015 — SnapLogic, an industry leader in enterprise integration platform as a service (iPaaS), has appointed Vaikom Krishnan to vice president of engineering, adding considerable data management and data integration expertise to the company’s product and management teams. Krishnan, who ran cloud engineering for Informatica’s cloud product line for nine years, will guide SnapLogic’s product development and operations as the company expands further into enterprise cloud, big data and Internet of Things (IoT) integration.
Krishnan is a Silicon Valley veteran, bringing more than 20 years’ experience developing enterprise software to manage data on-premise and in the cloud. Prior to Informatica, he was chief architect and director of development at Celequest, acquired by Cognos, and before that he was the director of engineering at Asera, the first commercial platform as a service for building composite applications. Earlier in his career, Krishnan was a software engineer at Sybase and Informatica.
At SnapLogic, Krishnan will drive development of SnapLogic’s Elastic Integration Platform, which recently introduced new IoT integration capabilities with its Spring 2015 release. SnapLogic was also recently recognized as one of the 2015 CRN Big Data 100 and is now being run by enterprise customers including Adobe, AstraZeneca, Box, Capital One, Dannon, GameStop, FOX Sports and Yahoo to connect data, applications, APIs and “things” faster.
“SnapLogic is an innovator and Krishnan has a proven track record of driving innovation and leading world-class development teams,” says Gaurav Dhillon, co-founder and CEO at SnapLogic. “We’re excited to have someone with his data management, application design and cloud architecture experience leading the next stage of product execution and enterprise customer adoption for our modern integration platform.”
“Whether it’s new business applications, Hadoop or IoT, enterprise IT organizations are looking for ways to run at cloud speed,” says Krishnan. “SnapLogic’s vision for re-thinking data and application integration and delivering a unified platform that is more accessible to both citizen and advanced integrators is revolutionary. I look forward to helping drive the next wave of integration innovation in the hybrid enterprise.”
