The Role:
SnapLogic is seeking a Manager, Infrastructure Engineering for our Infrastructure Engineering and Operations Team. We are looking for exceptional, self-motivated individuals, keen to learn new and emerging distributed technologies; share their learning, and exploit the new Cloud and Kubernetes offerings to the maximum benefit of our business and our customers. 
We are seeking a hands-on Infrastructure Engineering Manager who develops/executes infrastructure strategies and programs to support SnapLogic’s site reliability engineering, security and compliance objectives. The ideal candidate is well versed in DevOps methodologies and implementing best practices to manage lifecycles related to Cloud Operations. Additionally, use open-source projects and Infrastructure-as-code to accelerate building highly scalable and innovative solutions. The candidate will deploy work to public clouds such as AWS and instrument them to collect and analyze operational data. 
We are seeking a leader with strong devops principles to further support a culture that empowers engineering teams to take ownership of their features or components. 
This role reports to the Director, Infrastructure Engineering and Operations at SnapLogic, works closely with the product architects of our Cloud offering and will be directly influencing our global deployment and infrastructure strategy. 
This role is open to candidates located in the United States, who live in the Pacific Time Zone and are willing and able to travel to HQ in San Mateo, CA periodically.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage and lead a diverse team of Infrastructure Engineers and work closely with global teams to continuously run-the-business
  • Be hands-on and lead the team to build and maintain highly resilient scalable systems
  • Develop strategies to align infrastructure initiatives with security/compliance requirements in support of business objectives
  • Work effectively with cross functional teams to drive DevOps and SRE principals
  • Operationalize infrastructure/software delivery practices and create standards to enforce disciplines
  • Create Devops self service frameworks and processes to enable engineerings teams to operate services in a scalable, secure and automated approach
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plan and incident management process
  • Collaborate with external vendors and manage ongoing operational costs
  • Manage and participate in on-call rotation

What We're Looking For:

  • Understanding of the importance of IAC the software development life cycle, highly available systems, security and compliance
  • Extensive experience with SRE and DevSecOps methodologies
  • Deep experience with Cloud infrastructure components and ability to resolve/debug complex technical issues in a timely manner
  • Experience planning, executing and overseeing infrastructure projects until completion
  • Ability to anticipate future infrastructure and capacity needs and plans accordingly 
  • Adaptable to evolving technologies/business objectives and flexible to new approaches to solve challenges
  • Strong communication skills
  • Comfortable working with little supervision, and a preference for taking the initiative
  • Customer centric approach and implements solutions to enable engineering teams to self serve
  • Experience with scalable distributed observability systems such as Grafana and Prometheus
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of software development experience
  • 1-2+ years experience managing an Engineering team
  • 5+ years experience in administering Linux based systems in AWS
  • 5+ years experience in Cloud applications, security concerns, and network protocols
$160,000 - $190,000 a year
The above range is the approximate annual U.S. base pay range for this position. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate location, experience and expertise, and may vary from the range listed. In addition to base salaries, certain roles are also eligible for annual cash bonuses or commissions. All of our full time employees get stock options and a comprehensive benefits package.
